October 9, 2005
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the October 2005 CYOA! Results are here. The event was a success despite wet, dreary weather. In addition to seeing some great riding and sportsmanship throughout the day, there were many striking color combinations on display for cross-country. I was so impressed that I created a new "Organizer's Choice Award" ... and the winner for the Oct. 9 event was Elena Perea on her mare, Fair Warning. Check out their awesome, head-turning turnout below!
It was also wonderful to see so many smiling faces, especially given the overcast skies. People were even happy before dressage — honest, I have proof! Just look at Nicole Mason and The Real Slim Shady. Now tell me, does it get any cuter than this?
Proceeds totaling more than $2,000 from the October 2005 CYOA went to Helping Horse Therapeutic Riding Program in Raleigh. HHTRP stickers and T-shirts will be sold again at the May 2006 show. If you can't make the event but want to buy something, e-mail us!
Our sincere thanks to the October 2005 CYOA sponsors!
